PAUL VAN DYK

Paul van Dyk:

A Grammy nominee, recipient of many superlative honors and seller of millions of records worldwide—is returning to Los Angeles.  On Sunday, April 22 in support of his new album EVOLUTION, he heads to Hollywood for a late night set at Playhouse where he’ll give his fans a chance to experience his new music in an intimate environment.

EVOLUTION is his sixth album overall in his 20-year career and his first in five years following his 2007 album In Between.  Adam Young, the Minneapolis artist best known as Owl City, lends an epic vocal to the album’s first single “Eternity.” Wrote USA Today, “Owl City's Adam Young brings a sense of wonder to this single from the EDM pioneer's Evolution album...”  The “Eternity” video--which was created, directed and produced by visual artist Anthony Burns-- debuted on MTV and is now in rotation with MTV Clubland, MTV Tr3 and Logo. http://bit.ly/ApVagO

A globally acclaimed DJ, Paul van Dyk has been ranked the world’s No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine’s "Top 100 DJs” poll two times, something less than a handful of DJs have ever achieved. The Berlin, Germany-based artist last released VOLUME in 2009, an album of his best works to date—encompassing selections from his previous albums 45 RPM (1994), Seven Ways (1996), Out There And Back (2000), the Grammy-nominated Reflections (2003) and In Between (2007). His new album EVOLUTION is out now on his own VANDIT label.

PvD’s popular radio show VONYC Sessions http://www.vonycsessions.com/ can be heard on I Heart Radio’s Trancid Channel in the U.S. and over 50 stations worldwide.  In 2011, Rolling Stone tapped him as one of the 50 Top Tweeters in Music and can be followed at @paulvandyk http://www.twitter.com/paulvandyk .
